ErgoNest™ is generally suitable from around 3 months up to 3 years, or up to about 20 kg / 44 lbs, as long as your baby has good head and neck control. Always make sure your child can sit securely on the seat and that the belt is fastened tightly around your hips.

Yes. ErgoNest™ is designed to support a natural “M”-position – knees higher than the butt and legs spread over your hips. This position is generally considered healthier for hip development than hanging straight down from the crotch.

For very small babies and newborns, ErgoNest™ should be used as support under your arm, while you still hold most of the baby’s weight with your arms and hands. Once your baby has strong head and neck control, you can let them sit more fully on the hip seat.

That’s exactly what it’s designed for. The wide waistband and structured seat shift your child’s weight onto your hips instead of your arms, shoulders and lower back. Most parents feel a big difference compared to holding their child in arms or using no support at all.

ErgoNest™ has an adjustable waistband that typically fits waists from about 68 cm to 110 cm (approx. 27" – 43"). If you’re unsure, measure your hips where the belt will sit and compare with this range.

For everyday messes, simply wipe with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, remove any detachable parts and follow a gentle hand wash or delicate machine cycle if your washing machine allows it. Always air dry and avoid high heat to protect the fabric and structure.

Yes, many parents use the seat as extra support while feeding on the sofa or chair. Just make sure your baby is held securely with your arms and that the seat is fully on your lap, not hanging off the edge.
